  • Market Intelligence Reports assess and report trends in the local Retail environment (competitive, legislative, local buying behavior, infrastructure and other developments) using internal and external intelligence, local market research, intelligent guesswork;
  • Trade Surveys conduct market and competitor analysis, including determination of Shell’s retail position in relation to competitors on costs, quality, service, market position, structural strengths and weaknesses, etc.;
  • Target Setting formulate site specific business plans as inputs for the formulation of Retail objectives that balance volume growth and security, margin growth and security, overall CAPEX and OPEX ceilings and financial targets;
  • Marketing Planning provide inputs from the field for the development of retail marketing plans to achieve retail marketing objectives that integrate network development and management, brand product/service development, and HSSE;
  • Execution manage the implementation of the Retail Customer Value Proposition on a zone level as specified by Retail marketing plans, as well as the implementation of site business plans, including retail operating standards, policies, and programs to maximize commercial results;
  • Performance Monitoring monitor and report the operational and short-term commercial performance of retail sites through regular financial, operational, and HSSE audits;
  • Business Counseling provide business advise and counseling to Retailers, including the development, progress monitoring, and annual review of site business plans;Relationship Management manage Shell’s relationship with Retailers and other stakeholders within a specific geographic coverage area;
  • Platform Management manage the Retailers according to the terms and conditions of the Retail Business Agreement and Retail Supply Agreement recommend/support the implementation of changes in Shell’s commercial relationship with them as appropriate, including contract renewals, upgrading, multiple-site arrangements, and termination. Conduct business planning according to cycle and optimize margin support for DO.
  • Network Expansion Act as a first contact for DO NTI prospective investors and provide support to Growth Implementers in initial assessment of the investor and site feasibility.
  • Pricing Execution and Margin Management Review strategy performance and act as a proponent for tactical pricing activities. Responsible for maximizing Shell’s short and long term profitability.
