Shell is looking for a Procurement Manager to contribute to the achievement of Shell’s objectives and priorities regarding growth and cost competitiveness. Primary focus will be on driving the CP interface with the Supply Chain partner(s) in the United States. In this role you will be able to;
  • develop & execute commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies which meet the business demand while taking into account implementation of global strategies at local/regional level
  • implement contractor HSSE practices in close liaison with contract managers / holders and owners
  • understand commercial needs from internal business partners constructively challenging the business demand and/or procurement practices in order to drive value and efficiency
  • understand and implement the Category Management and Contracting Processes Manual.
  • lead and inspire value adding initiatives, including but not limited to cost savings, with an aim to deliver demonstrable bottom-line results.
  • develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers
As a Procurement Manager, you manage supplier relationships effectively, collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement, and build and maintain a strong supplier network, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities. You ensure collaborative ways of working with global category leads and with business colleagues. In addition, you provide coaching, support and guidance to other team members.


CP Focal Point for all service and material sourcing strategies and post-award contract management activities supporting a specific area of the business. 

Special challenges
  • The role requires an in-depth understanding of complex supply chain contract(s) and understanding the value levers and identifying ways to monetize these levers in an environment with various interface management.  These supply chains cover multiple lines of business such as Upstream, Manufacturing, Global Commercial, Lubricants and Trading and Supply.
  • Ability to engage & influence various groups of stakeholders to lead and deliver business commercial agenda for a sustainable cost structure with the flexibility to adapt to the complexity of business and external environments.
