Reporting to the construction superintendent, you will be responsible to support the contractor execution team with project support material management. As a member of the contractor construction management team, you will ensure the availability of material to support the fabrication or construction schedule by tracking the receipt of equipment and materials and supporting the contractor management onboarding and contract closeout activities


  • Coordinate on site, the delivery of material to site and ultimate release of equipment and materials to the contractors
  • Collaborate regularly with supply chain management, construction management and project management personnel to ensure material arrive at construction site on time
  • Coordinate truck arrivals with the execution team and ensure that all requirements are met for site delivery
  • Ensure the use of proper equipment for unloading of materials in a safe manner
  • Oversee truck piloting and offloading with contractors, this include through tier access area
  • Provide updates to the civil working group and weekly progress meetings
  • Reconcile material, coordinate material clean-up with contractor after the scope of work is complete, and work with the project team to finalize the preferred disposition options
  • Review project, construction, or engineering schedules and incorporate information into the materials handling plan
  • Support construction team with contractor management activities such as coordination of  onboarding and off boarding, lessons learned and final contract documentation closeout 

Required Qualifications

 
  • Five or more years of experience in operations and projects
  • Familiar with supply chain processes
  • Experience completing field visits and safety audits
  • Technical diploma and/or post-secondary education
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project scheduling software
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills with an exceptional continuous improvement mindset
  • You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems
  • You are a highly motivated, self-starter who possesses strong social skills with diverse groups, and are able to contribute effectively in a team environment
  • You value integrity and hold others accountable and expect others to do the same

Working Conditions

  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
  • Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible candidates
