Background and experience required:
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and a membership of a relevant professional institution (i.e.: ICE, IMechE, etc.)
- Good understanding of hydrology / geological conditions and calculations
- Knowledge and experience in GIS and spatial data management
- Proven knowledge of ArcGIS and CAD Revit creating GIS maps
- Knowledge of Magic Tekla data and other Open Source data
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Python
- Able to work with constantly evolving parameters
- Possess outstanding interpersonal and team?working skills that will enable the candidate to build relationships with senior team members, colleagues across the company and senior executives at clients and suppliers
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong professional and personal ethics

Required Qualifications

 

Requirements
You will have practical experience of creating GIS maps and infographics to fit project needs. A good understanding of geological conditions as well as hydrology is beneficial. You will be capable to work at engineer level with technical, programme and budget requirements.

Prior experience working on onshore / land topographies, environmental engineering, bathymetric surveys, ocean pipeline design would be beneficial.

Company Description

 

A London based company is building an industrical scale algae cultivation system and are looking for experienced people for their team.

They are hiring the team to design and build the largest commercial algae cultivation system in the world and are looking for a surveyor and hydrographic engineer to provide support and guidance to the project, supervising the topographic and bathymetric survey processes and subsequently developing detailed maps from these work streams. This will lead you to assist in the design of an offshore pipeline as well as modelling onshore water reticulation (both pressured and gravity fed).

The role entails closely interfacing with operational on site colleagues and external providers. You will also be expected to travel to the site in Morocco on an occasional basis.
