  • Manages Shell Deer Park Site Waste programs (e.g., RCRA Permit, RCRA Compliance, and waste disposal program)
  • Manages all groundwater programs
  • Provides regulatory support for spills, spill cleanup, and spill reporting
  • Manages Residuals Management Database system (Waste disposal form) and Waste Manifest Database system (Waste Manifests)
  • Focal point for Waste related enforcement and provides backup for site wastewater, storm water, and potable water related enforcement.
  • Oversees Internal and External Waste and groundwater reporting, practices, and procedures
  • Monitors new waste regulations and changes to existing regulations; initiates actions to bring the site into compliance with new requirements
  • Manages Source Reduction/Waste Minimization 5-year plan,  program, and reporting
  • Overview Responsibility for new Contractor Environmental Evaluation process; Responsible for ensuring approval of environmental portions of the Contractor Evaluations
  • Member of Contractor Communications Monthly Form; Regulatory Guide to Contractor Communications Forum and contractor environmental awareness training
  • SME for Waste and Recycling related Environmental Orders and Procedures
  • Environmental Resource for Projects (SWMU Closure/Post Closure and WW/SW projects)
  • Consulting resource and team member of the Offsite Residuals Management Team and North America Waste Management Project
  • Manages Underground Storage Tank program
  • Overview responsibility for Environmental Economics (cost control)
  • Overview responsibility for idled equipment process
  • Primary contact to regulatory agencies (EPA, TCEQ, Harris County, City of Houston) on RCRA and DOT waste issues
  •  Coordinates RCRA waste permit renewals and other plan updates
  • Subject Matter Expert for waste, landfill, BIF, SET Basins and related site and department procedures
  • Provides program assurance and technical support for the waste programs
  • Provides environmental support and leadership to address RCRA issues
  • Manages third party contractors conducting Environmental Site Assessments (RFI)
  • Provides assurance that RCRA meet requirements of HSE-MS, Control Framework, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Provides assurance review of documents to be signed by the HSSE manager for items included in the Waste Program and area of responsibility
  • Mentors and supports environmental staff at DP
  • Leads and ensures waste processes meet or exceed waste portion of HSSE Control Framework requirements
