buying coffee and snacks in our shops using our Car Wash offer or the outstanding service of our Forecourt Attendants.

The Retail Marketing Team drives the offers and innovation towards our customer. Fuels Marketing, the Convenience Retail offer and our own Loyalty Program are the main parts within this dynamic area of our company.
The Brand & Communication team is responsible to develop effective campaigns and strategies to support the abovementioned marketing areas and to drive customer engagement.

We are currently looking for a Social Media & Media Planning Manager to join our creative and dynamic team of professionals, located in Hamburg.

What is the role about?
In the role of Social Media & Media Planning Manager your main responsibility is to develop a content strategy for all social media channels related to Retail in German / Austria / Switzerland (DACH) region on a year to year basis.
You will develop strategies for efficient and effective usage of digital channels across the DACH Market through recruiting and managing top nodge local digital agencies, and to manage the media buying for DACH as the first point of contact for our media agency.
This role offers a wide scope of exciting challenges in one of the most growing areas in Marketing globally in and outside of Shell as the position provides an amazing learning platform with a significant number of customers in one of the most important retail markets of the world.
There will be multiple opportunities to develop a unique experience for customers through targeted communication and engaging mass communication channel (web and mobile) that cut through and attracts more customers to choose Shell more often, turning them into loyal customers via traditional and new channels.
It will be one of the most important tasks to lead Shell into a new decade of technology regarding communication in media and social media channels.

As a Social Media & Media Planning Manager your key activities will be to:
•build and maintain close relationships with internal & external stakeholders
•identify opportunities to grow the fuels and convenience retail business through effective Social Media and Media campaigns
•take ownership in developing the next step in media and social media performance for Germany
•manage agency and other external partners at local level
•support, develop and implement media strategies together with our agencies and global media team
•be an advocate for innovation in digital Marketing and Social Media solutions
•join site visits of the sales force (1x / month), to understand, interact with & help convince our retailers
•enjoy working in an open and divers company culture
•think out of the box, be bold and bring new communication ideas.
