Reporting to the manager, chemicals and fluids, you will play a key role in supporting the strategy, contract development, negotiation, and contractor performance management activities by collaborating closely with the business unit stakeholders and external contractors. You will apply your industry knowledge and experience in building commercial strategies and driving value for Suncor.


Required Qualifications

 

  • Superior internal and external networking and negotiating skills, as demonstrated through effective collaboration with key partners and driving true value
  • Ability to influence the business to buy into the category management disciplined purchasing and contracting processing
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with proven strategic problem solving skills
  • Proven horizontal leadership skills to drive commitment from both internal stakeholders and contractors
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, policies and procedures and contracting practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an analytical focus
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset and are results oriented

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in Calgary, Alberta at the Suncor Energy Centre
  • Infrequent travel may be required to Suncor sites within Canada
