Reliability Specialist

Job ID

  • Provide timely technical expertise at multiple terminals and act as a key contributor to the Cross Functional Team and terminal network
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and regional Distribution teams to identify, evaluate and implement reliability improvements
  • Build strong positive relationships with individuals while troubleshooting and resolving repetitive failures within our network
  • Lead the development and implementation of reliability initiatives across the regional terminal network
  • Facilitate root cause analysis on all reliability incidents for the purpose of learning and prevention
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing asset maintenance strategies and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Recommend maintenance and operating technologies as well as methodologies that eliminate unsafe working conditions and environmental excursions
  • Provide reliability input into terminal budget and identify and develop multi-year programs
  • Support project development and execution to ensure proper turnover and integration into existing reliability programs

Required Qualifications

 

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of experience in oil & gas plant maintenance, reliability and operation
  • Knowledge of Distribution Operations and industry oil movement process
  • A post-secondary education
  • Proven advanced non-authoritative leadership skills to influence and manage diverse groups while holding others accountable
  • Strong communication skills that enables you to build positive relationships in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Knowledgeable in maintenance work processes in various computerized maintenance management systems
  • Understanding and experience in multi-disciplined environment (mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, civil)

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs and regular business travel
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and will experience short periods of high stress levels
  • Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
