The Reliability Engineer (Rel.E) is a senior staff position residing within Pulau Bukom Engineering Division under Reliability Department. The primary function of Rel.E is to provide professional expertise and technical support regarding reliability improvements to maximize asset availability, deliver production unplanned downtime (UPDT) targets, optimize maintenance expenditures and improve system reliability of assigned Production Unit (PU) including data gathering, failure analysis, troubleshooting, implement work processes, champion LEAN improvement plans and development of predictive/preventive maintenance programs for plant assets in accordance with Pulau Bukom and Global-M best practices. The Rel.E is expected to work across different functions & disciplines with Operations, Technologist, Engineering, Maintenance, Projects/Turnaround, HSE, Business Excellence, E&S team members and externally with MSE, P&T, Consultants/Specialists, Vendors, OEM & Contractors to deliver best-in-class reliability performance for the site.

1. Provide engineering, human-reliability factors, process and systemic solutions to complex production reliability & asset availability problems/challenges. Lead Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussions to resolve complex threats / issues.
2. Drive effective practice of the different reliability programs / processes within the assigned Production Unit (PU). Examples: Mitigate Threats to Availability (MTA), Asset Master Planning (AMP), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Life Cycle Analysis, Bad Actors Elimination, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, Modelling.
3. Promote reliability mindset / best practices sharing across sites / PUs (i.e. newsletters, reliability alerts, teleconference, updates and regular communications on success stories) to reinforce positive proactive behaviors.
4. Subject Matter Expert for the Mitigate Threats to Availability (MTA) work process. Assure that PU's threats to asset availability are identified, prioritized & mitigated in a timely manner with appropriate risk assessment.
5. Subject Matter Expert for the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) work process and facilitate RCM studies to establish Asset Maintenance Strategy including spares philosophy.
6. Lead or facilitate Causal Learning Investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
