The Global Commercial Technology organization within Projects & Technology a key enabler for the Global Commercial business growth agenda through delivering to the Business of the agreed R&D and Technical Support program. This includes product differentiation and continuous innovation in cost-effective formulations and, increasingly, new service offerings.

The organisation operates from major technology hubs and technical centres in the US, Asia and Europe. An important activity within Lubricants Technology is the delivery of Process Oil & Waxes (POW) product development and technical support, with the aim to help the business grow.

In this organization we are currently looking for a Product Application Specialist - Process Oils to join our team with base location, preferably, in Hamburg.

What is the role about?
As a Product Application Specialist (PAS) you are part of the global POW Product Application Specialists team that reports through the Technical Manager & Team Lead POW into the General Manager B2B Lubricants Technology.

It’s your role to provide the appropriate direct support for complex technical opportunities and challenges for direct and indirect customers. You gain proactively new approvals and customers in close collaboration with the commercial process oil colleagues based on the global strategy.
Key responsibilities in this role are delivering professional technical support to all gold and platinum direct accounts and developing and implementing key account customer Technical Strategies. You also build and manage the relationship with regional and global key accounts.

Besides this, additional responsibilities are:
*to convert pre-selected product prospects into buying customers
*provide technical input for market analysis and strategy development to identify additional prospects
*give technical input to the marketing communications material being developed to support the new product portfolio and segments
*prepare and present speeches and input to industry events and seminars
*manage various and diverse stakeholders in a virtual environment on a One team basis working seamlessly with Sales and Marketing.
*build and manage strong relationships with key technical contacts at the customer/prospect side.
*ensure alignment with global project team and procedures.

As this role has geographical coverage, around 50% of travel is involved (90% Europe, 10% USA).
