The Process Safety Management (PSM) Director at the Lake Charles Refinery reports to the Technical Services Manager and is accountable for managing the Process Safety Management (PSM) and the Risk Management Programs (RMP) at the site. This position drives refinery risk down by continuous improvement of the site's work process/procedure management and accompanying information management systems, plus coordinating and conducting process hazard analysis.

Responsibilities May Include

• Owning the metrics and internal auditing procedures to drive ongoing compliance with the requirements of PSM/RMP

• Continuously improving the PSM/RMP program and its documentation for regulatory and corporate compliance rigor and business value

• Driving improvements to the Management of Change (MOC) process ensuring that effective MOC takes place in the plant, including management of feedstock changes, management of personnel changes, management of document changes and management of process changes

• Managing external audits of the site's PSM and RMP programs and subsequent corrective action plans

• Coordinating the corporate compliance verification reporting process

• Owning the maintenance and continuous improvement of the document management systems

• Maintaining site Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) Power User expertise

• Coordinating the site wide implementation of document records management corporate compliance requirements

• Ensuring major incident Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA’s) are properly led

• Ensuring process hazard studies are done per regulatory requirements, corporate schedules, budgeting cycles, turnaround schedules, and refinery operations

• Ensuring engineering information is effectively managed throughout its life cycle, including implementation of projects
