Required Qualifications

 

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five or more years of technical/mechanical experience and/or a trade certification
  • Experience in the oil and gas or similar industrial environment
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
  • Alignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity

Preference for:

  • Five years of planning and coordinating with strong mechanical aptitude
  • A deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques
  • Proven maintenance and turnaround activities experience
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP and/or Primavera as well as the Microsoft Office suite

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • The position is largely office-based with daily field verification of plans including climbing with exposure to all weather conditions
  • Turnaround planners may spend significantly more time in the field during the execution window
  • Relocation support will be provided
