Fuels Technology as part of the new Technology Organization in Projects & Technology provides fuels technology innovation, integration expertise and support to the Downstream businesses of Shell.
Within Fuels Technology the Operations group has the responsibility for Engine & Vehicle Testing, Marine & Power Testing, Fuels Blending, Analytical Laboratories and New Energies Applications Testing.

For this organization, we are currently looking for an Operational Engineer Engine Testing, to join our team in Hamburg.

What is the role about?
The purpose of this role is to proactively drive maximum operational efficiency, effectiveness and quality in a world class operational environment.
You will lead individual program planning (cost & timing) and execution in the area of engine and driveline testing, primarily programs utilizing in-house facilities.

In this role, you will be accountable for the technical interface to technicians, operators and programmers in order to deliver high-quality data and program output from the internal facilities in support of product development projects in Fuels and Lubricants.
You will be accountable for agreeing the scope of work for in-house testing with the relevant delivery managers in fuels and/or lubricants, as well as for the effective and efficient delivery of programs as per agreed scope of work -on-time and on-budget.

As an Operational Engineer, you will ensure that the technical and operational status of in-house test facilities are compliant with product performance evaluation requirements and maintain full compliance with relevant legislative and HSSE standards for test domain, including operators / technicians and related contractor staff, in full compliance to all applicable Group Policies and Standards.
You will take care of test and data validation and initiation of discussion with relevant Technology Mangers / Project Leaders, to add technical value to product development.
Besides this, the Operational Engineer is accountable for appropriate storage and record-management of test information and data in compliance with applicable quality standards.
