As a member of Convent’s Maintenance Department, this position is responsible for the planning and preparation for scheduling of GSAP work orders at the Convent Complex, all in accordance with established business targets.

This role is also charged with looking for improvement opportunities within the Maintenance work process and supporting sub-processes that are developed and implemented to assist in the Maintenance development process at the Convent. The Maintenance Planner is a "Change Agent", always looking for new and more efficient ways of planning and executing work.

Demonstrates a high level of commitment to safety and environmental performance and continuous improvement. Ensures that job plans are developed with the highest regard for personal safety and environmental excellence.
 

  • Works closely with Operations Maintenance Coordinators during all aspects of the planning phase of the work process.
  • Is responsible for confirming that all required materials are purchased and on site to support the maintenance team.
  • Able to conduct business conversations and communicate freely with all levels of the organization.
  • Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Primary planning scope will be for static equipment, including exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, filters, furnaces, etc., but could include other aspects such as instrumentation, electrical and rotating equipment.
  • Assists in leading the process of developing the work list and challenging/optimizing the work scope through scope freeze and addenda management process.
  • Become fully familiar with all of the work scope in their assigned block of maintenance.
  • Fully understand all project integration with Capital Projects in maintenance work scope.
  • Planner is accountable for the efficiency, effectiveness and the soundness of the overall execution plan.
  • Optimize the integrated plant operations, maintenance, engineering, inspection & projects.
  • Facilitate the overall development of the field execution documents (integrated job packages).
  • Coordinate the planning efforts of other contractors into an overall integrated plan for his/her assigned area.
  • Assist in the development and communication of the planning premises to all individuals who will be involved in Maintenance.
  • Accountable for ordering all stock/non-stock items required to execute the work plan.
  • Planner will work closely with procurement to validate all required materials are on-hand and organized to enable high craft team productivity.
