Logistics Coordinator

Job ID

  • Work closely with our supply chain team to define requirements, evaluate proposals and set-up scopes of work for service vendors during turnarounds
  • Manage service vendors and lead the coordination of vendor services, which includes cranes, pressure and vac, specialties services, and many other vendors
  • Work with general contractors to insure that site facilities, transportation and parking are adequate for the trades and support staff during turnarounds
  • Develop long-range plans on costing and timing for the facilities and temporary infrastructure required to support turnarounds and other major events
  • Manage incident investigations and ensure Enablon is updated
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

 

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of refinery, heavy industry or construction experience
  • Experience using SAP, Primavera and incident management system
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Proven advanced non-authoritative leadership skills to influence and manage diverse groups while holding others accountable
  • Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build positive relationships in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • Zero-tolerance for shortcuts, and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it
  • Alignment with our values of: Safety above all else, respect, raises the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing.

Preference for:

  • Previous experience working with service contracts, cost control, and vendor coordination
  • Completed post-secondary education

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • During turnaround execution, a significant portion of your work is dedicated to field coordination and you will be required to work long hours in outside conditions
  • You will experience short periods of high stress due to the nature of turnaround
