The Lead Procurement Manager is a key member of the Contract and Procurement (CP) Team responsible for overseeing daily execution of contracts and driving continuous improvement initiatives with the Opex and Capex business partners.  The Lead Procurement Manager is accountable for leading the development of sourcing strategies to drive efficient execution of the business and is the focal for localizing key regional and framework agreements.  In addition, the Lead Procurement Manager is responsible for effectively leveraging the CP Operations organization for operational contract sourcing, contract management, and ensuring robust execution of RtP (Requisition to Pay) processes to meet business requirements.

  • Accountable for the overall development and delivery (end-to-end implementation) of procurement strategies to maximize the value of spend on a total life cycle basis.
  • Working lead of the CP Team; leading the development of contracting strategies including tender, negotiation and award and post-award contract management and continuous improvement against the deals.
  • Take an active role in implementing Enterprise Framework Agreements, including implementation of local call-offs and transition between suppliers.
  • Ability to interface effectively with CP and business stakeholders across a wide variety of backgrounds and levels, at local and regional levels.
  • Obtain active support for key procurement goals and objectives via local stakeholder engagement; able to link these goals to business needs and benefits
  • Deliver supply chain cost improvements to achieve site business plan targets.
  • Ensure compliance with established strategies, contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with key third party providers, focusing on meeting business challenges and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Develop new commercial ideas and opportunities to enable the business to meet current and prospective business challenges.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the supply market, including a strong understanding of the drivers of value and cost for principle providers in the market; strong knowledge of the risks in the market and how best to respond; and a clear view of the ways in which we can most beneficially shape the market.
  • Enforce CP policies and procedures, Contract Review Board processes, Requisition to Pay processes, and ERP related processes and procedures.
  • Develop, document and present robust Contract Review Board submittals for local / regional strategies.


CP Focal Point for all service and material sourcing strategies and post award contract management activities supporting a specific area of the business.

  • Comfortable working across organizational boundaries to deliver results (ie. CP Operations, Group CP, Manufacturing, Finance, HSSE, etc.).
