  • Performance maintenance work on equipment
  • Complete assigned required reports
  • Perform safety checks and inspections in your area of responsibility
  • Serve a first responder to pipeline emergencies
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations
  • Respond to one call tickets
  • Repair all strainers, valves, pumps, and motors
  • Review and update station isometric drawings
  • Report incidents

Required Qualifications


Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Three years of pipeline, electrical or instrumentation experience  
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Suncor
  • Entry-level technical knowledge of communications and control equipment, digital and analog circuitry, pumps, motors, valves, and medium voltage equipment
  • Proficiency in reading various electrical drawings
  • A strong ability to perform mechanical repairs
  • Alignment with our values

Preference for:

  • Pipeline maintenance experience
  • Completed post-secondary education

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Guernsey Station 206 Tank Farm Road PO Box 369, Guernsey, Wyoming
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • You will work rotational on-call shifts
  • You will be required to complete our Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) operator qualifications upon hire
  • You must be able to carry sample pots weighing 40 pounds and climb stairs on crude oil  tanks
  • Much of the work you will perform is outside in very hot or cold weather
