  • Oversee contracted resources with ongoing supervisory responsibilities for contractors performing technical work
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexities
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts, resolve disputes and ensure effective contractor performance
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Ensure contractors meet Suncor safety requirements through safety orientation and subsequently monitor their practices to ensure these safety procedures are being followed
  • Collaborate and build positive relationships with cross-functional teams (CFT) in order to drive continuous improvement in support of our day-to-day activities while accommodating high-risk, urgent work

Required Qualifications


Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Seven years of facilities management experience
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • An understanding of facilities management issues and concepts
  • Alignment with our values

Preference for:

  • A facilities-related certificate (e.g. BOMI, IFMA)
  • Knowledge of a large facilities’ mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of architectural drafting and AutoCAD
  • The ability to balance competing priorities, partner demands, and work within both short- and longer-term timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse groups and senior management
  • A collaborative teammate who can build positive relationships across a multitude of business units
  • A self-starter with demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and carry out daily routine with limited direction

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Denver Refinery Business Center, located at 5455 Brighton Blvd.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • You will be “On-call” 24 hours per day except during vacation periods to call in maintenance employees for emergency work
  • You will deal with a wide spectrum of employees with ever increasing demands and expectations
