  • Provide a technically competent and effective inspection service for the static equipment and piping in the plant
  • Prepare and implement realistic inspection monitoring programs both on and off streams to maximize uninterrupted operation of the plant
  • Department focal point for inspection planning, SAP and wIMS
  • Maintaining database in wIMS; keeping it uptodate
  • Supervise & execute the HEMP and Safety Critical Activities in accordance to specific performance standard as per GAS GAME/AMS processes for safe and reliable operation. Refer to CA list and SCE list.
  • Focal point for developing the asset integrity related scope for plant turnaround
  • Lead a team of inspectors during inspection shutdown and ensure that the work scope for shutdown complies with the requirements of both SMDS and statutory regulations
  • Ensure that plant changes and repairs are carried out in a professional manner complying with relevant codes and regulations
  • Conduct in depth investigation and diagnosis of static equipment and piping failures or irregularities.
  • Provide quality control on incoming technical products
  • Provide support to maintenance and project for material and welding related issues
  • Supervise inspection and testing for Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) i.e. corrosion circuits (cc) and pressure relieving devices (PRD). Evaluate and analyse the result before inputting into wIMS
  • Perform or plan the inspection as per stated in SMDS HEMP Critical Activity
  • Optimize operating and capital expenditure
  • Train and develop inspection technician in various inspection disciplines
  • Contract holder for inspection activities i.e. conventional and specialized NDT
  • Focal point for Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
