Job ID

  • Assist and evaluate drafting requests
  • Prioritize and action received requests
  • Lead the team to execute mandates
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to prepare the work for the technicians
  • Develop tools to continually improve our processes and quality of work
  • Support and constantly progress the skills of the technicians
  • Develop key performance indicators to help measure the team’s performance
  • Ensure compliance of all requirements, standards and industry codes

Required Qualifications

 

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Fluent in French, with functional written and spoken English
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in a heavy industry or the oil and gas industry
  • A college diploma in mechanical engineering technology
  • The ability to demonstrate strong preparatory knowledge of piping and instrumentation diagrams and isometrics, ensuring quality control output
  • A deep technical understanding of drafting and analysis tools, such as Autocad, AutoPlant 2D and 3D, Navis Work, Microsoft Office Project, etc.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with an acute sense of organization
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • A professional designation with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Project management or project execution experience

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work at our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs such as overtime during turnarounds, evenings and weekends
