Reporting to the team leader, procurement, you will be responsible for the procurement activities for the assigned business areas and proactively identify future business needs. In this role you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including other supply chain departments and external suppliers to Suncor. 


  • Plan, schedule and coordinate assigned business area service and material requirements
  • Create purchase orders and manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle
  • Meet the demands of multiple clients, including external stakeholders, with the appropriate sense of urgency
  • Educate internal stakeholders on supply chain procedures and ensure adherence to these procedures
  • Ensure all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan
  • Address procurement issues and escalate those which are unresolved to more senior procurement team members
  • Understand the key drivers of the business areas being supported and participate in cross functional teams to identify and address current and future demand
  • Proactively mitigate risks and address issues that impact our stakeholders
  • Create individual annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with the overall procurement team and the supply chain management (SCM) functions’ performance targets
