  • Responsible for scheduling and resource leveling all activities, including all Tank, CUI, Furnace, Piping, etc….
  • Work with planners to develop accurate schedule for job execution, with emphasis on minimizing overtime and addition of resources.
  • Responsible for building all aspects of the Primavera schedule.
  • Ability to adapt to Shell’s standardized planning and scheduling structures using set EPS, WBS, RBS and coding.
  • Coordination with other Shell stakeholders and technical/support disciplines – operations, engineering, procurement, PEI, finance, etc.
  • Maintain and keep the planner work packages updated.
  • Work with planners to develop and maintain standards for planning, scheduling and progression of jobs.
  • Intimately familiar with all Major Maintenance work processes.
  • Assesses job to understand the optimal schedule to achieve Major Maintenance KPI’s including safety performance, cost and duration.
  • Facilitates Schedule review meetings prior to work starting.
  • Identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities in the schedule.
  • Loads schedule logic to efficiently execute scope of work and utilizes the Leveling functionality within Primavera to develop resource leveled plans.
  • Works with planner and field execution team to optimize the master schedule.
  • Identifies areas of safety concern; i.e. overhead work, congested areas, within the Schedule and assist with developing mitigations.
  • Responsible for updating the schedule on a daily basis, sending out daily update sheets and 3-day look aheads.
  • Facilitates the weekly manpower allocation meetings.
  • Provide Management with required reporting.
  • Is mindful of and continues to look for opportunities to reduce turnaround scope, and plan and execute with low cost mindset.
  • Work with Routine Maintenance Scheduler on Shell Craft availability.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a multidiscipline environment and effectively interact with staff and contract resources during planning, execution, and post-execution activities for all Major Maintenance work. 
Additionally, the individual will be required to maintain a close link with the Safety organization to ensure alignment and direction for all safety related processes, procedures, and practices.
Special Challenges

The successful candidate is required to be involved in all aspects of Major Maintenance planning & scheduling.  Major Maintenance jobs can be a fast paced environment, especially during execution. Individual will be required to balance a multitude of demands while keeping safety the priority in all that they do.

Additional Comments

This position will play a very important role in assisting the facility in delivering world class performance in this arena.  However, this position may at times, also have responsibilities associated with the Routine Maintenance. Meaning, this position may have responsibilities on jobs that are not linked to directly to Major Maintenance activities.
