  •  Provide monthly performance analysis, stewardship reporting, variance analysis of the Upgrading assets
  •  Identify and participate in performance improvement projects
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and work with Upgrading business contacts to assemble opportunities identified via the value capture process
  •  Coach cost centre owners in understanding their role and the use of the financial information and performance metrics
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues

Required Qualifications

  • Two or more years of related work experience
  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting
  • Completion of recognized accounting designation (CA designation is preferred)
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP, or similar enterprise software is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Problem solver, you possess an eye for detail combined with a continuous improvement mindset
  • You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems

  • This position is located in Calgary, Alberta at the Suncor Energy Centre
