Are you passionate about providing exceptional care as a nurse? Do you have experience providing first aid, emergency response and overseeing industrial health programs? In this casual role, you will report to the site occupational health nurse and be a part of the larger team in providing extraordinary care to our employees.


  • Execute wellness strategies and initiatives while ensuring a high standard of quality, integrity and value of our health services
  • Perform health surveillance programs including health evaluations
  • Provision of primary care to ill or injured workers
  • Collect and analyze comprehensive medical information and confidential medical records
  • Support disability case management and facilitate return to work programs as well as liaising and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders

Required Qualifications

 
  • Three years of experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in health surveillance testing and programs and conducting new hire medicals
  • Post-secondary education in nursing with an Occupational Nurse certificate and currently registered with CARNA
  • ITLS certification
  • Spirometry and Audiometry certification
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

  • Computer knowledge and experience ideally with SAP, Cority
  • Emergency situation response, first aid proficiency and able to remain calm
  • Deep understanding of health and wellness programs, including support of medical surveillance and wellness programs
  • You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • You continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace, in order to understand not just what you do but why you do it

  • This is a casual position, located at the Edmonton refinery
