Reporting to the senior advisor integration you will be responsible to lead assigned Firebag and Base Plant tactical and strategic activities to optimize lodging, aviation, business services, and ground transportation performance to support achievement of field logistics performance execution


  • Build and leverage strong working relationships with senior leaders to effectively understand and represent their business units and field logistics needs of each other
  • Identify and resolve key business challenges
  • Conduct business as the initial point of contact with knowledge of all field logistics business and operations
  • Support and execute the development and refinement of business process design, policies, standards and guidelines, and demand forecasting processes.
  • Provide strong relationship and stakeholder management skills to develop trust and respect while demonstrating the highest level of integrity and accountability to leaders
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define, execute, and drive strategic projects/initiatives in support of cost improvements, operational efficiency improvements, and service improvements
  • Lead, structure and execute strategic analytics by developing work plans, gathering relevant data, leading analytical efforts, and developing final recommendations
  • Lead and contribute to internal team strategy sessions
  • Perform reviews of strategic priorities and initiatives and analyze the capability to deliver on strategic business goals and make recommendations as required

Required Qualifications

 
  • Eight or more years’ experience in oil and gas with proven strategic thinking and capabilities
  • Post-Secondary education is preferred
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • Previous knowledge of the business
  • Understanding of the systems and processes utilized by the business and within field logistics
  • Strong communications, presentation and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, lead without authority and pursue the development of a continuous improvement culture
  • Ability to lead special projects on behalf of the leadership team
  • Business process mapping and re-engineering projects

Working Conditions

  • Preference will be given to local Fort McMurray candidates. If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, camp based accommodations and travel from one of our hubs, Calgary or Edmonton, will be provided
