Yeek May I ask what is the typical tank type used to store naphtha in refinery. Brief background, I am involved in a design for a new naphtha storage terminal. Customer requested for a dome type internal floating roof tank WITH nitrogen blanketing. This seems like a massive overdesign for me as I am more inclined to go with an internal floating roof with an external roof to prevent the rain from contaminating the naphtha. Thus we can do away with the nitrogen blanketing. They seem insistent on the use of N2 blanketing which is a bad idea due to the high N2 consumption. What is used to store naphtha where you are?
