After an 8-year hiatus, MPGC 2020, which is the longest running annual oil and gas conference in the Middle East, returns to Bahrain to be hosted and sponsored by the National Oil & Gas Authority, nogaholding, and The Bahrain Petroleum Company. MPGC 2020 is organised by Conference Connection and will take place following the March 2020 Formula One race.

Commenting on Bapco’s role as host of the event, Dr. Dawood Nassif said, “Bapco, NOGA and nogaholding are very pleased to be able to host and sponsor MPGC once again on the occasion of its 28th Anniversary. The oil and gas sector is still the main contributor to the national economy of the Gulf region and this conference will discuss the new challenges and opportunities in this vital sector. We are committed to the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030 and the conference will serve as the perfect platform for promoting our vision to provide the major investments in the country. Our support of the event reinforces our commitment to further develop the Middle East oil and gas industry.”

Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki, Chairman of FGE, a leading oil industry consultancy advisors on the Middle East and Asia said, “MPGC 2020 brings to the industry a mix of insightful comments about the Global Oil and Gas Markets together with key issues impacting the Middle East industry from geopolitics to crude oil production, refining and petrochemicals to the key financial issues such as Aramco IPO. Yet again MPGC 2020 reiterates the commitment of the organizers to deliver the highest quality of content at the conference”.

MPGC 2020 will convene under the theme “The Middle East Oil & Gas Markets: Vision 2020 & Beyond” and will address the continuing uncertainty faced by the global oil markets, in the relationship between OPEC, US oil production and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Refining margins, the quality and pricing of HSFO, VLSFO, and MGO in the wake of IMO 2020, changes in the global LNG market with Middle East countries looking for a large portfolio of both LNG imports and trade, will underscore discussions at MPGC 2020.
